I just think that this excessive cautiousness by some of you is kinda of a buzzkill. I mean...the future fanbase of this league are the young fans and they have to start looking at soccer as a party and a fun event to go to with friends. I just think that if we are anal about being so orderly and well behaved goes against what many young fans want. I can guarantee you that a lot of the american soccer youth wants to prove to america that their ARE the BEST sports fans with an unparalleled passion for this awesome game.

So dont get all fired up from my posts lol.
Really, that would be lame but funny.

I personally feel that the soccer world in america needs some spicing up. This "spicing up" should occur in the stands. Thats all.

Let me know what you feel.

Just a reminder--RSL is based in Salt Lake City.

You've made a number of statements and stated your case. It would be helpful to take a step back and reflect on Loyal1's post.

For starters, understand that we all have to respect the local culture. RSL support will be heavily represented by families with children. That's what will make it successful, because that's the way most people Salt Lake and Utah live their lives. It's also the standard around MLS, and is the true future of the game in the United States.

We're all for passion and all that, but we do not want to duplicate the testosterone frenzy of all too many clubs around the world, where you can't take your kids and personal safety means carring a personal weapon. Where prematch preparation means hours of drinking, and where fighting opposing fans is more important than the game itself. No thanks.

If you're looking for ultra culture, you're going to be disappointed. Come to the games, support the team, wave your flags, sing your songs. But respect your fellow fans and the way people in Utah approach life.

We want all the support we can get, and everyone's invited. Just remember that there's more than one way to show passion for the game.

So, I can say I fully agree with these statements...

As the person who wrote the Loyalists mission statement I think that this can fit with in the bounds set forward by that statement. We will have a good time... we will tailgate... we will sing, chant and bang our drums... we will give the opposition a hard time. However, the culture being what it is in Utah somethings that are said/sung and happen at matches in Europe will not fly here. That doesn't mean we can't create an atmosphere that will have young people (and even some old ones) say, "Going to a soccer match sure beats sitting around at the baseball stadium watch a couple guys play catch for a while... just to see some guy get his stick in the way occasionally. This soccer thing is where I want to spend my time."

That is what I think... I also think that you will have a great time when you come down and even realize how much fun a group lead by Loyal1 can really be. We aren't as boring as we may sound at times.

I think there are quite a few of us who remember how much fun the Blitzz games were, with Loyal1 in the lead. We didn't act like hooligans, but we had a great time. I think the main issue here is being enthusiastic, supportive... but not doing anything that would ultimately hurt the sport we love. The FO has said they do not want any hooliganism and they will not support it. So our mission statement says that we're going to play by the rules. We'll just have to be a little more creative in how we spice up the game, that's all.

Fuzzy, you're a passionate and creative person. We could use your talents to think up ways to make this game amazing in a legal way. Seriously! Work with us to make this awesome. Nobody wants to ostracize you or make you feel bad. I'm personally looking forward to meeting you at some of the games and drawing on your passion for the game.

Fuzzy for what it's worth I think you add a great element to our fans! You and your crew are always welcome at the games.

Now to get back on topic..

JUVENTUS - REAL MADRID

The banner says "Checkmate to the King...al." Doesn't make sense in English but "Re" means King so it's a play on words...

I know it might seem ghey but the use of hearts is quite cool.

Another thing that would be cool is get Standard Bearers (a flag with a pole on each side held by two people) that says something like THANK YOU CHECKETTS

or

CLETUS ~~~ SLC PUNK!
