I have often called Nevada the nation's most culturally void, homogenous, and ill-educated state. But they do have a leg up on SLC when it comes to soccer watch parties. I have discovered The Crown and Anchor British Pub. All the live soccer you can handle, with a full menu (mostly British), full bar, and Wednesday nights are Reggae nights. The place must be open 24 hours because they have live soccer starting at 5 am and playing into the afternoon. Some games have a cover charge. If anyone is ever planning on coming to Las Vegas for a weekend, let me know. We can gamble all night and watch soccer all morning.

I've spent many Euro championships and world cup games there, its a great place and the breakfasts are fantastic.

It's understandable that people think that type of thing. But it's like Utah, it's changed a lot during the last 10-20 years. When I mention to some people that I'm looking at moving the SLC they get worried - nothing is open on sunday's, I won't find a job cuz I'm not LDS, and the beer is watered down. But then when they find out how quickly the demographics have changed (just check out the SL Trib's articles on that awhile back), that not all LDS are ultra-orthodox (duh!) and that 3.2% by volume is about what Bass Ale is when it' normally brewed it starts to sink in. I'm in Minneapolis so when I point out all the transit that SLC has going on (existing TRAX, midvale project, commuter rail to the north project) they say things like "wish they'd do that here".

Las Vegas is the same. It has that repution as sin city, the place where you go to gamble in the desert. But if you get around the city, you'll find things like mom and pop Bulgarian resteraunts and things like that. It's not NYC but still, it's changing.

My dad lives in Laughlin and we are going to visit him down there at least once this winter.

Really dumb question, and I suppose that their website would answer it.

But could I bring my 4-year-old and my 6-month-old into the restaurant side?

Yes, Las Vegas is very easy about that. The only restrictions I have seen on bars with restaurants is sometimes they want only 21+ after 10 or 11 pm.
