We'll see what they're saying next week. But really, who cares?

Maybe on this board, only me.
But I find it interesting to follow all the MLS teams, their draft picks, coaches etc.
I am especially interested in what Chivas USA thinks it can do to improve next year.

Although I suspect, if Westerhof is really staying, that Chivas maybe subscribing to the "nothings wrong here, move along" mentality which will doom them again next year.

That is a great point. Do you see that at all in Ellinger, especially considering the latest chat statements? I think keeping Mathis (besides his guaranteed contract.. blast!) is more of "same old, same old". What do you think?

Considering that RSL is trying to turn over almost the entire roster, no.

I agree with Stuck.
I get the impression from Ellinger and Pasotrino that they are scouting new players in an entirely different way. I expect at least 50% turnover in the roster. Thats different thinking.

I think Westerhof and Cue will do what comes natural, pick players from Mexico's minor leagues, which is what they did this year.

I don't know if Westerhof was the problem. He inherited a pretty big turd from Rongen and the rest of the FO. Maybe now that things haven't turned around much the rest of the organization realizes they need to change their approach to the game on the pitch to do well in the MLS. If that happens, Westerhof does have some good experience and may make some of the changes needed in the offseason. LIke RSL, they really need to tighten up the defense.

Will Ramon Ramirez be back next year?

For Chivas USA's sake, I hope not.

In articles that I have read (or more accurately, tried to read) in Spanish, Cue has said things like "We've learned from our mistakes and we will be better next year."

Maybe that means "We will pick up starters from Mexican 3rd division teams" instead of sending up benchwarmers from 4th division teams like they did this season.....(OK, so that's an exageration, but not by much)

I remember posting this before, but Ramon Ramirez himself told Paco Palencia & Juan Pablo Garcia that MLS is a very tough league. Ramirez said that if Palencia or JPG had played an MLS team in a friendly and it seemed easy; they could forget about that because in games that count; MLS players are another matter entirely.
