For RSL's final pick (probably) MLS Combine MVP (T. Fitzgerald Award winner) Luke Kreamalmeyer of Bradley. Nice pick.

I was very impressed with Kreamalmeyer and Watson's interviews. They seem real excited to come to SLC and they seem to have a good idea of what is expected of them.

What I meant by local products is like LA took guys from UCLA, NE took the guy from R.I., etc...

Nolly and Krispy Kreamalmeyer are both good picks. Good job RSL.

Exactly, there are no Utahns and only a couple of Rocky Mtn west draft choices out there. Jay Nolly, being an example, is from Littleton, Colorado.

BTW
Nikolas Besagno Maple Valley WA
Jamie Watson Dallas TX
Luke Kreamalmeyer Edwardsville IL

As for Western schools, not many of those for RSL either. Except for 1 UNLV player and a host of California colleges, there were no western colleges even in the draft. 🙁

Hold the phone...

It says HERE that we traded an allocation to get this guy.

I hope I am misunderstanding this 😲
Billy Joel voice: "Is that all you get for your money?"
David Letterman voice: "22nd pick... allocation...22nd pick... allocation..."

I was able to catch moments here and there and I have to agree...
the Dallas 96's do look like casino security.

Dear President Loyal1, I think that the allocation RSL gave up was one of the international youth picks we have. We started with 5(2 more than 10 old MLS teams), gave one to Chivas for Stewart and now we gave one to LA. So now we have 3 left.
Plus, with only Dispy, we still have 3 SI picks.
We only have 8 players left to pick for RSL.

BTW I just updated the RSL Roster Player page

Who needs Brian Glanville? Bite me hard, Graeme Jones.

The newest international soccer pundit McKid was on channel 4 news, talking about how drafting Nik was a good idea. I noticed James Umber in the background and probably some others, too. Was that John Parkin I saw there?

Wesley Ruff talked about the MSL draft. ("MSL" got 2 mentions by Ruff, "MLS" got one).

If you subscribe to the old theory of "I don't care what you say about me as long as you spell my name right", we are running behind.

If I read the recent RSL press release correctly. We gave yet another on to the Metrostars for their 2006 2nd round pick.

Indeed it was.

Also sighted were Deuce and Lucky13. Did I miss anybody?
