speaking of drumming

A few people have asked so here it is.

On Monday I, Loyal1, am doing a performance on a concert.

It is a free concert put on by the Canyonlands New Music Ensemble and Abravanel Distinguished Composers Series. Starts at 7:30pm at Dumke Recital Hall at the University of Utah School of Music. Dumke is on the 4th floor.

In addition of my performance of "Psappha" you can hear some incredible flute, clarinet, and piano playing.

This is a concert of "new", "modern" music. Most people don't go for it unless it's part of a movie score.

"Psappha" is a 13 minute tour de force percussion piece. Instead of the usual 1 instrument you see me with, this performance uses 16.

So what are the 16 instruments? I've been playing drums for years, but haven't done anything 'orchestral' since high school. :signrocko

Yay, for the cowbells!

Break a leg! that's what they say in Theater. Do they say that for Concert Musicians?
