Is anyone else going to check in on the player trials before the Chivas game? I think that would be enlightening.

PS - Great pictures Deuce.

Yet another reason why this team underperformed on game day is the way they practice. As a coach, you need to make sure your players are mentally and physically peaking at game time. When you spend the whole week practicing 9 hours earlier in the day than you play, you should not be surprised in the least that your players are not at their best on game day. Obvious...easily fixed (as long as they can get on the field)...distressing that Ellinger does not get it...

In all my years watching EPL teams practise - and I went just about every week of my life to either watch Liverpool, Man. U, Man City, Everton (yes I admit it, I went a few times when it was easy and I was a broke student), Aston Villa, Birmingham City ... I could go on but I think you get the point ... I don't ever recall them purposely training at a corresponding time to the game that week. Games are played at such varying times on differing days that you can't possibly be serious in this point.

I think that it is an actual reserve match before the Chivas match. It is RSL Reserves v. all-star cast comprised of the best players from RSL partner Liga Latinoamericana.

If you are able to put more names with the pictures, please post it.

Thanks!

A portion of a James Edward Article

TRIALIST SHINING: Beginning this week, and continuing through mid-November, RSL is continuing to train as it prepares for next season.
In addition to Salt Lake players still under contract, coach Ellinger has invited as many as players to train with the team during the next month on a trialist basis.

One player in particular has really stood out.

Costa Rican defender Daniel Torres made an immediate impression on Ellinger with his composure, fitness and technical ability, particularly under pressure.

Joey Worthen, Hwang Ho-Ryung and Diego Walsh are three other players who Ellinger has been impressed at times during the past three days of training sessions.

Beginning sometime in December, Real can start to offer new players contracts of the club is confident in their abilities, or it can invite them to training camp in February and March, and re-evaluate them then.

"If you find somebody you like, you should probably get them," said Ellinger. "You'd rather have them with you, and hope they're going to make it, than have them go somewhere else."

At this point, Torres is the most likely player to receive a contract before training camp, even though Ellinger says he's being courted by two teams in Sweden as well. Torres' contract with Norwegian club Tromso expired at the end of Norway's Premier League season in early October.
