Interesting notes there about Chris Brown: "Browny is basically putting himself in a position where he's going to be a starter in the back to start next season," said Ellinger. "He gets better every time he plays back there."

And it sounds like Cletus will, at this point, still be with us next season, from the tone of Ellinger's remarks.

And this upstart 😉 Besagno wants to earn and keep a starting position next year. Good for him... let's see what he can do.

I want to see a squad deep enough where there is competition for every spot on the field. That is the only way this team will really improve. Well, that and finishing.

Not that I was a productive citizen when I was 17. Heck, I richly deserved to be shot, jailed or worse when I was 17.

But I'd like to see Besagno (and maybe Watson & some defenders) train with Hamburg over the winter.

He can come back in January for Hamburg's Winter Break training in Las Vegas and their friendly against RSL in Sin City! (Hey, I can dream, can't I? I sort of have a free place to stay in Vegas.)

Is it me or it just plain crazy that people like Brown are a "sure bet" for next year as a defender but many of us have already condemned Pope...

Pure craziness.

Brown is one of the players I would say I definitely want on the team next year 100%.

I think Brown, Jason, Jamie and Nolly should have earned more this season based on their level of play. Maybe a few others.
Who should have earned less?
