Deuce is dead-on. Before I read Deuce's post, I had also thought, "That was just the last straw." Which reminds me of a game my brother and I used to play, kind of like tag, but a lot funner.... Oops, was that off-topic?

Yes it was off topic but I think the word "funner" was more of an off English language thing... 😉

it's only rep...in fact, it's usually a bunch of 1s and 0s. that's all it is. This board has folded to the whims of a crapids fan. How can we claim to be the best fans in the MLS if we give up to the only crapid fan?

I'm flummoxed.

Four points:

* Rep never mattered... it was the personal attacks, childish name calling, etc. involved with rep that was lame.

*You (fuegote) haven't offended me... but some others are tasteless and boorish, (ha.. too bad they can't neg rep attack me now.. ha ha ha) but I've seen worse.

*We haven't "folded to the whims of a crapids fan." If you call losing rep "folding", then I guess we did. I, however, would call it folding if we quit posting. I haven't quit and I hope you haven't either.

*I'd place the blame for losing rep (wow, BIG loss <--- sarcasm squad beware) squarely on those who chose to use rep as an aggressive personal revenge/politics tool. abuse the system = it doesn't work = it goes away.

I'm happy to be here.

My family, though highly educated, are a bit prone to flexibility with the English language. Partially due to the influence of other languages in the home. 🙂 Conversation is a lot more funner when you slaughter the language.

einz, vrei, drie , fir , funf, di katz, kaiza is verboten in di schuule, ya vol, ya vol, wo est di bana... etc. <---- it is sung to the tune of ... must edit post at a later point to include the tune name!...

I think Aquire is fun. I tried Carcassone once and that was enjoyable. Has anyone played War of the Ring? That is waaay complex and fun and long and difficult.

Now if we can just get the post counts to go away; it is embarassing for people to see how much time I spend on the forum.

I must say, it makes me sad. I don't understand neg repping anyone. Why not just take neg. off? Positive rep remids me of looking through my yearbooks and saying, "See honey! I WAS popular! See?" 🕺 Ha ha ha

Oh my buckets of chunder. That was the worst spelling of German words I have ever witnessed. Very impressive!!

Die Soldaten schiessen mit Tomaten. Tomaten sind zu rot? Schiessen mit brot!

I hope I didn't just cuss auf Deutsch.

Positive rep was just as prone to abuse for those with egos. And those of us who, more commonly, used it as a way of coordinating watch parties, holding conversations, etc. It was more of a PM system than rep system. 🙂
