Bonus Games C & D

From the FO
Quote:
Going forward, we would like to invite you to exchange both the C and D tickets for our final regular season matches on Weds. October 5th featuring the Salt Lake debut of MLS Champions D.C. United and teen phenom, Freddy Adu or Weds. October 12th vs. the Colorado Rapids which will be the decisive match for the Inaugural Rocky Mountain Cup and will also be Fan Appreciation Night (details to come).

Finally, we hope to be announcing one more match in late October that would also be eligible for exchange as well. We will let you know the instant the game is confirmed.

Anyone know who they are negotiating with?

Also, any insights into what activities are in store for "Fan Apprecitation Night"?

So if we have the tix we can use it as well as our reg tix....meaning we could get twice as many people there?

Yes, you can exchange your ticket before the game by going to the FO or by exchanging at the Tuff Shed will-call on the day of the game. (How do you spell long line disaster?)

I arranged a ticket deal with the RSL FO for the Rapids fans coming over for the last game. I'm guessing most of them (including myself) will be picking up their ticket at Will Call on the day of the game. Admittedly there's only 12-15 of us, but should I let them know to plan extra time for picking up their tickets?

Could be the Thunder. What international leagues don't have matches in October? All the ones I am familiar with (England, Japan, China, Belgium, Netherlands) are playing league games in October and that would make a trip to SLC difficult for them.

I would love to see RSL play Wave United, too. Could that be part of a Matt Schmidt deal I wonder?

The stadium has had issues in the past with insufficient staffing at ticket counters. I think, for the most part, they have improved. I would still allow some extra time to get your tickets, however. We (Utahns) tend to follow our LA counterparts and arrive late and buy at the gate.

Best idea is show up quite early, exchange your tickets, then join the tailgate party.

🕺

It's too bad they never could finalize scheduling a Mexican league team. As 1000s of the Salt Lake area Latin-American community would have undoubtedly attended, it would have been a tremendous atmosphere. (The Blitzz - Tijuana match in 2000 was quite fun for all, even if the home team was a bit out matched that night.)

(Evil grin on face while contemplating future)

About what time do you suppose yourself and the rest of your Rapid friends will be showing up at the will call gate? We'd really love to "meet them."

As great as the last tailgate was (sarcasm), it was probably the last. We do not have any more Saturday games.

Just look for the people preparing to take the Rocky Mountain Cup home. We'll be wearing the Fake Salt Lake shirts.
