Web hosts

My work is having problems with their web host. they cannot log in, despite numerous attempts. So we are switching web hosts. Who is good and why?

Our current one (www.dotster.com) doesnt even have a phone number. they only take faxes and they have not responded to our numerous attepts to contact them about our problem. We need a new one asap.

I use www.addr.com for my web site.
I have had good support from them... it is a Colorado company.

I have done business with a company called Server Central... they've been very good and have great customer service. Right now, I have a friend hosting. I'd recommend him, too... I think.

It depends on the level of involvement you want to have in administration.

http://www.midphase.com is good and easy to use, they also have good support and are pretty cheap.

http://www.linode.com/ is great if you know your linux since you have full control of the server in various flavors of linux using UML. They also have great support.

Those are the only two I can recommend since they are who I use. If you decide to use one let me know since I'll get some credit for a referral.
