As a die hard Avs fan, I would die if the Blues were brought here :boxing: (however much I would LOVE a NHL team here) But seeing as how fickle hockey fans are in this state, I seriously doubt that would ever happen.

I am not sure Checketts would actually move the team. Unless he was going to move it to Kansas City, which is dying to get the Blues.

Big surprise though, I think its very cool that Mr. RSL bought a NHL team...if its true.

Yeah, I seriously doubt that we will ever be an NHL town. But I think it's great for Mr. C. All sports can bring something different and exciting. It's great to broaden ones horizon.

LOL! Bring it to Utah to compete against the Jazz! I love it. Checketts v. Miller!

If it means not having to watch overpaid basketball players. I'm for it. The NHL Union got bent over by the owners so we won't be seeing over paid (relative term) athletes play on the ice.

Bring them home Uncle Dave.

Newman, I just bought NHL 06 and love it. How to learn to love a sport: buy the video game.

LOl. ok. Never really played video games. (actually I did try once, but I didn't really enjoy it. I know, duck and cover) I love all sports anyway, well....except maybe for curling. That's not really a sport.🙂

I would love to see it just to see the phrase "Salt Lake City, official home of Jazz and Blues" in print nationwide.

KC seems more likely, but that would be wierd if the Wizzinators move...

Is there some requirement for a music-themed nickname?

Jazz.

Blues.

As for moving the team to Utah, I'm not sure if Salt Lake is the right market for the NHL but I don't think it can be dismissed outright.
