Real Salt Lake (5-17-4)
Sources in Salt Lake say Clint Mathis had dinner with head coach John Ellinger on Monday to iron out their differences after a training-field blowup last week in which Mathis berated the coaching staff and several teammates, including respected vets Eddie Pope, Brian Dunseth and Brian Kamler. The team didn't take Mathis on last week's trip to Dallas, raising further questions about what comes next for Cletus. But guess what? Two MLS teams inquired about Mathis' availability before rosters were frozen last week, proving that raw talent will always have takers. Interesting stuff.

OBTW, has Wahl said anything lately about his "you heard it here first" predication last month that cheetos would make the playoffs this year?

That financial article isn't fun to read. It's sad to see the financial state of professional soccer players. Let's hope success in MLS grows and that that translates into more financial stability for its players.
