I'll see if I can get the family to meet me down there after work (yeah, I have to work this Saturday - ew). I had a few english-based foods while I was down in South Africa that I've got a hunkering for - like cornish pasties! MMMMMM

I agree that British food isn't all that super for the most part, but Pizza Hut is VILE.

The whole point is that even Pizza Hut (vile) was better than all the british food we'd eaten. So was... swallow... I hate to admit I ate there, even in England... McDonalds.

I hate Mickey D's with a passion. My children DO... NOT... EAT... THERE. PERIOD. But when faced with trying yet another british pub or restaurant (success rate = zero), we resorted to McDonalds. It was a dark day.

Am having hallucinations just thinking of the Indian food I ate at this place on Upper Street in Norf London... so amazing.

And those hot jacket potatoes you can get from the stand in the Cambridge market... I like lived on those.

And kebabs with the really hot sauce...

Can you tell I haven't eaten dinner? :D

You didn't like pub food? I understand that English restaurants aren't that great, but you didn't like pub food? :jawdrop:

I want some cottage pie. I wouldn't mind some real fish and chips, either.

You want disgusting food?

Try the Utah State Fair a few blocks north & west.

We may have to Do The Triple....(State Fair (so my daughter can see the animals), Greek Festival, Union Jack.)
