Interesting Places to Visit in Utah

All this talk of Jetty's, Sun Tunnels and Metaphors got me to thinking.

There are some very interesting things all around us.

I think it would be cool to have a list of lesser known places to see in Utah.
I would like to know about little known places, off the beaten path, but the well known things are acceptable as well.

Museums, Farms, landmarks(natural and man-made) and so on and so on.

A small description and or web link would be much appreciated as well.

Nutty Putty Cave:

http://www.udink.org/npc/

This site has about everything you'd want to know. Except I heard that the BLM is thinking of closing it up. According to the above site, they haven't closed it, so it's still open to the public. If you go there, make sure you take rope that it tied to something at the entrance, so you can find your way out and make sure you take more than one flashlight in case you break one. Don't go alone and plan on staying more than a day.

Here's one more link I found:

I followed a link on that site and found out that my neices best friend died in the Provo cave.
here is the link I followed

The Girl on the right is Ariel Singer. She was one of the 4 that died.

I took this Picture of Ariel and my neice, Krystee, last summer.

I certainly do extend my sympathies to you Deuce. Nutty Putty cave is not the Provo Cave. There is no water in the Nutty Putty cave and the only real danger is of getting stuck if you try to go into a narrow passage. I'm a big guy and I've never got stuck in Nutty Putty cave. I've never tried to go into a passage that is too narrow for me. The majority of the cave is open and a person over 6 feet tall can stand comfortably in it. The thing I like about the cave is also what makes it dangerous and that is the fact that nobody is out there to say when it opens or when it closes. A person can go out there any day, any time, and explore the cave.

Doughnut Falls was another cool place to go, but it looks like the land is privately owned and the owners closed it off.

Sorry I can't find a good link for this one, but it gives some good information about the doomed pioneers who made their way in 1846 to California through Utah on what was known as the Hastings Cutoff. It looks like you have to make an appointment to see it: http://www.mytooelecounty.com/html/main/announce_display/newsID/6722/index.html

If you're a history buff, like I am, then you shouldn't miss it.

Grystal Geyser down near Green River is a pretty interesting sight, if you're already in the area. There are some pictures of it partway down this page.

You're kidding. I used to love that place, I guess I'll never hike it again.
