Booing Rocky Anderson ?

Well, I know there are quite a few of you out there that don't like the Mayor of SLC. Seeing that I just sent someone an email w/ resume on a contract opening in SLC, I figured I'd ask "Why did the guy get booed on Opening Day"? For the booers, what prompted it?

Rocky has the type of personality that polarizes...you either love him or hate him. Additionally, most soccer fans blame him because the legislature decided to wipe out the only possible funding option for the stadium due to the fact that 99% of the politicians in this state hate Rocky.

Residents of Salt Lake City are generally okay with Mayor Anderson. Although a new poll suggests that now a majority thinks he should move on.

But Mayor Anderson is severely disliked by huge majorities outside of Salt Lake City's boundaries.

This is because of:

His lawsuit against Legacy Highway

The persistent belief that he's anti- Mormon

He's a very outspoken liberal

There are surely other reasons, but I think those are the Big 3. As long as RES brings in a crowd that includes large numbers from the suburbs, Mayor Anderson will be booed every time.

Rocky got 53% of the vote in SLC at the last election...

Those who don't like him... dont like him for the reasons stated. I don't agree with Rocky on many things, but when it comes down to it you know where he stands. That is a refreshing trait in a politician... now we just need one that I agree with that is forthright.
