Interesting quote from Beckham

I thought this was an interesting quote from David Beckham when he was asked what his thoughts were on switching formations - again from a 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1, and all being asked to pretty much play in a different position, he played more of a holding midfield position this game.

"We're professionals and, if you're asked to play in different positions and different styles, you should be able to do it.

"I don't mind what system we play. It doesn't matter about systems, you've still got to perform."

I just thought that it's interesting how some players don't care where they play, they get paid, they work hard and they judt do it without providing excuses. Not saying that our lads have been doing that, but some fans have certainly been saying it's affecting our game. Maybe it is? Maybe it isn't? Maybe it really is all about attitude?

Its very real problem for any player in any sport to get bogged down in narrow mindedness.
I don't want to see, for example, Pope try to be a forward, for instance. But if Eddie can get forward more often and take those chances (as he started to do against DC) I think that would pay off.

beckham wife switch

Sorry, this is a tad unrelated. But Beckham's wife, "Posh Spice" was recently quoted as saying, " I've never read a book in my entire life." Ha ha. I found this funny

I don't want to take away from Mr. Beckham. Really, he's pretty well behaved and overall's had a pretty good attitude. But part of the scoop on him is that he's wanted play in the middle of the park, not off on the right fringe all the time. So why would we expect him to be upset over this move?

More because even at United when Sir Fergie moved him around for a whilehe still performed rather than whining about it, he is just a hard worker. All be it that I am sure he would rather play in the middle, he still makes things happen wherever he is.

Well, except for the penalty spot, of course.
