I got rep from someone (bubba, currently our newest member) that didn't affect my rep "score"... do you have to have rep points or a certain number of posts to have your rep count? Is rep from certain people worth more?

I know that when someone reps you you get points that are equal to how many little green boxes they have. So if someone gave you rep and they have 3 green boxes you will get 3 points.
