umm...just a thought...

there are several fields within spitting distance (or crawling/limping distance as the case may be) of Rice Eccles...For example...there is a field just west of the HPER complex which is less than 400 yards from the stadium. There is also a group of fields at the park on the corner of Guardsman and 600 S.

All of these have goals...the one on the U campus also has nets.

And they're open to the public? Any idea on normal usage?

Are we going to get together this Saturday before the game to kick the ball around a little bit?

The two of us that showed up (thanks Deuce) had a great time kicking the ball around on Saturday. Hopefully, we can get a couple more to come out in the future.

Hey I have a question, can we go co-ed on this? I'd like to play if it's possible.

I know this keeps getting brought up, but if you are interested please put your name down in this thread so we can find out if there is even enough interest to worry about all that would be involved in putting a team together.

A few of us have also been getting together to kick the ball around a little bit to improve our touch and more importantly get in shape. Anyone that wants to join us is more than welcome.

We haven't really set up anything formal as far as when we meet, but we are getting together tonight around 8:30 at the soccer fields at 7800 S and 4000 W if anyone is interested in showing up and huffing and puffing with us.

This has also been posted on RCB's site and hopefully between the two groups we can get about 20 people that are interested in playing. So far I think we have about 7-8 so please let us know if you are interested.
