8/19 Practice report!

I was just wondering if anyone went to practice could report how things went today.

I got there too late to see anything of significance. I didn't see any of the scrimmages so I have no idea on the lineup for tomorrow. I did hear that it looks like Nolly will be starting though.

Ditto.
I did not even have time to get my camera out.

D.J did not practice... Ellinger confirmed that Nolly is starting. The only reason is because they are trying to mix things up and stop bleeding goals. D.J. has played well, Ellinger is just trying to get the winning combination on the field.

It looks like Scarlett will be starting in place of Seth Trembly as well.

Eddie Pope spent most of practice doing some rehab work... it looks as if he isn't questionable for tomorrow.

That is about all that I saw of real note.

Let's face the sad truth.....we aren't going to the playoffs.

We need Eddie healthy for the Mexico & Guatemala games......

Scarlett & Gregorio can keep us in 5th place. Or in first place for the Bobby Convey/Carlos Bocanegra Derby, if you prefer.

i am with you, except i feel colorado may lose to us to make it intresting. We just can't keep losing at home to try to keep it close.

i love the idea of convey! heck i love the bocanegra one too but i think convey is playing like a mad man right now!

Although I recoil in horror at your comment,

I am dissapointed we have had to pin all of our hopes on beating CR. Especially because those sunsuhbi!ches are suddenly playing real soccer.

I fear at this point we're chasing the Galaxy. I think the Rapids will pass them by the end of the year for third place. Looks like the 1-1 draw (where RSL outplayed the Galaxy) might come back to haunt us most of all.
