Grizzlies Support?

Im a huge hockey fan, and immediately after the soccer season i plan on attending all of the grizzlies games. Im new to the area, and am wondering what kind of fan support they have. Any supporters groups or anything? In general what is the atmosphere at the games?

I live about 3 miles from the E-Center and I'm sad to say I haven't been to any of their games since they moved to the E-Center. From the games I did attend in the Delta Center, they usually had pretty good crowds, I'd say between 8,000 and 9,000. There weren't any supporters groups at that time, but it may have changed. The fans are very loud and I think I've heard more profanity at hockey games than any other sport I've attended in Utah. Now that you mention it, I will get out and attend some Grizzlies games this year, they need my support as much as RSL does.

Also, in case you didn't know, Grizzlies just dropped down from AHL to the ECHL.
Lower quality of league, but the Griz owners felt that now they play more regional rivals and have more control over personnel (in AHL, the NHL Phoenix Coyotes were calling the shots and sending players down).

No idea about a supports club/group but I know some good Forum websites.
PM/Email me if you want to talk more.

I've been a season ticket holder for many years. There is a booster club, but that's more like a fan club than anything. There are no "designated sections" for a supporters club to make themselves heard. There are, however, certain sections that are known for being the "vocal" ones, but not necessarily family friendly if you know what I mean. 🙂

Sweet! If you like rowdy, you will like section 111 or 112. We like to be um....vocal.

Hmmm. If can I can get to a game or two this season, I'll try to get tix in that section. E Center really needs a lot more noise coming from fans and less noise from 'jock rock'

Ahhh for the days when Ray Brown would get the entire Salt Palace chanting.......

I went to almost all of 'em. When I didn't, it was because of work. It was also kind of hard to sit through the games last year with our crappy play and work ethic. Hopefully this year will be better. Our seats are in 111, feel free to come on over!
