They do it in England. Keepers wear whatever they want but there is an official set of jerseys (usually two) for keepers.

And I believe I already made the point about the variety of jerseys. This is marketing question.

👍

The problem is the marketabitlity. How many people would buy them, as opposed to the regular jersey? The answer is, probably not enough.

If I really wanted one, I would take another approach. I would approach the team. They have to have a way to replace the jerseys, if one gets damaged. They probably even have extras. I would ask them how much for one, and keep bugging them, as they probably will say no, right off the bat. You could also approach D.J. himself. Players sometimes give their shirts away after a game, and D.J. has done so with gloves a few times, maybe you can con...I mean talk him into giving you (or your son) his jersey, after a game.

Just some thoughts.

I've already contacted the team... I've got one comming with Jay's name and autograph. It did require many e-mails and percistance, but I wanted it for my son. It will be an early birthday present so he can wear it in an upcoming tournament here in Indy.

I did not know that he had so many different jerseys! I assumed that there was one "official" keeper jersey (OK...2 if you have a different one for the road) and that's what was worn.

Like I said, I'm in Indiana and don't get to see the games other than the recaps on the team web page. And I guess I just never paid that much attention to what DJ was wearing from game to game...

And I agree with many of the comments... It's a marketing thing... If the public askes for it, they will sell it! Now, who's looking for one?

Hi Hoosier Rookie
Do you want me to see if my hubby can get an autographed pic for your son as well? We had Jamie Watson sign a picture and write HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my niece for her birthday. I framed it and gave it to her and she turned as red as a tomato (she is 7 and I think she might have a lil crush! LOL)

My hubby goes to almost all of the practices so let me know if we can help you out with any STUFF 🙂

👍

Hubby works downtown right across from Deuce! What a small world! Anyway, he goes to most all of the practices and after the players shower (ohh lala) and come out of the locker room, the players are usually really good about signing stuff... okay, I am going to attempt to sound cool: "you be my homegirl so I hook you up girl-friend" :dancing:

(did I sound cool and hip?... no?... oh.....) 😢

DJ's Orange Jersey at Gandolfos

Talk about connections ... I just went to the Gandolfos on 2100 South and about 700 east. They have DJ's orange jersey (my favorite one) signed and hanging from the ceiling. Wonder how many free sandwiches for that ... 😉

My son's new Real Salt Lake Goalkeeper jersey arrived yesterday! He was so psyched! It's got the logo on the front, and NOLLY 18 on the back. And Jay autographed it on the 8!

My son thinks it's too valuable to actually wear! LOL!! I told him that it was OK, and he'll wear it in the next game he plays!

Thanks to those here on this site that pointed me in the right direction to get this for my son! It is much appreciated!

I went to Team Gear yesterday and they said that they have a #1 Jersey and if you want they can put "Countess" on the back (for $15)...so I guess if you really want a jersey with the keeper's name, you can get one..but it will cost you like $85! Yikes :kwasny: But I do believe they will give you the Lolyalists discount.
