That's a good point, Deuce. The forums main purpose, IMO, is to be a place for RSL supporters to come together to discuss team related things, and by that I don't mean who's got the cutest butt (a topic I've proudly never posted about). Supporting RSL is why I want to join a committee, but I'm interested to see how things are handled. I'm reserving judgment for now though because things still are in the early stages and I trust Jules to do things right.

Call a spade a spade... If you don't like another persons perspective... I am sorry but I have been on the recieving end of PM's and emails of ppl complaining because they don't want to get any one upset on the forum...
Well i think it is time that somebody rocked the boat for all those ppl that are too chicken :pooh: to speak up publicly...
I am a moderator and i can tell you all that ppl are not so kind in private... so why should I take all the crap while you guys all get to live in joyous ignorant bliss... I just thought I would share some of the load is all....

My opinion is what it is... but i can tell you... swapping places you would probably do the same

Okay, so I don't agree with this post quite so much, but I'm not going to say that you shouldn't be able to say what you want to say. You've taken a LOT more guff than I have, so I can sympathize with your frustration. I'm probably one of those non-confrontational chicken people you don't have a lot of patience for, although my chicken-ness extends to PM's so I suppose I at least have been consistent. 🙄

Okay, so what is the suggested option for moving forward? Those who volunteered for the PR committee seem fine with communicating this way instead of meeting IRL or teleconferencing, etc. Is this a problem? If so, what is recommended to fix it?

I'm sorry you've been on the receiving end of alot of crap, and I'm glad I'm not in your position - and perhaps I can't even empathize. But what I do know, is that being "unkind" isn't going to move things forward, it's only going to drag things down. Without civility (which I'm not calling your comments uncivil), we've seen all sorts of problems occur this season. What we DO need is constructive criticism, laced with civility, that can get us going in the right direction. Additionally, those being constructively criticised need to make sure they understand the intent in which it's given before deciding to become offended. Deuce has several good points and concerns in his original post, and I think Jules responded appropriately. Let's keep this thing going in the right direction, please.

Perhaps what Deuce is suggesting is that the general membership needs to be made aware of what's going to happen BEFORE it happens, and to make sure that the majority agrees with what is going to happen. I think a general mailing should be sent out indicating what the process is, and all of the details. I'm not so sure a vote is order for this process, because what we are doing here is the meta-process, and hopefully we aren't so bureaucratic to have to get approval for meta-processes.

No the email format is fine.
If thats the format that Jules wants to use, I am fine with it.

I guess whoever will complain will just do it to Deuce privately.
So no worries.

Alright stop! You're all being very subtly rude. You don't agree and that's fine but really... Do you have to start more crap? This is the way Jules has chosen to do it for now. If you don't like it propose a solution that works for ALL the members of the PR comitee (Remember someone doesn't wish to get one here...). Now, I'll probably be looked down on because I'm a "silly little girl" But oh well. Jules, I'd like to be part of it too. I'll PM you my most used e-mail adress.

I did not mean to be subtle at all. I think everyone should be allowed to post here. Regardless if we agree or disagree with Jules plan.

It sounds like Deuce gets a lot of flack for being a mod. I am a mod too and I welcome anyone who has problems and wants to discuss them to copy me when they are harrassing...I mean PMing Eric (Deuce).

Regardless if the discussion is here or on an email, ppl will complain. The point of the email discussion is to allow the committee to work out problems and then present them to the group. At which time Loyalist leadership can say yea or nay.

I personally think its a step forward and welcome the unfettered possibilities that email have over say a public internet forum.

Ok just to be civil and as non offensive as possible...
In response to Soccerprimes PM, Nothing has happened in my private life that has caused me to be such a jerk... Although I think the same may be asked of you at times, so don't go there.
If you actually did your job as moderator then maybe i would not have to take the brunt of the criticisms and nasty emails... but since quite a few are directed toward you I don't think even if they knew you were a mod that they would PM you about it.

I have been upfront and honest fromthe begining of this forum... at times with a touch of anger... sue me...

This place has turned into a forum that is rotting under the weight of political correctness and false sincerity that I can half understand why you would want to take it somewhere else so ppl will spend less time apologising in advance for stuff that they might actually get something done.

It is not my place to dictate how ppl act or react... so in future if you don't want to see stuff like this from me then grow some nads and actually take your gripes top the ppl that you have a gripe with...
I move close and mange threads... no longer will i manage all the Drama...
