RSL: Truly has the best fans.

I am a season ticket holder of course, but last game is the best game I have been to. Are staduim was rocking almost the whole game and we are still pulling out 20,000+ fans a game (thats amazing if you think about it, are team doesn't have a winning record and have been in a huge slump... but it shows RSL has die hard fans) The chants during the game were awesome, the best part of the game besides all the goals and the win is when the whole stadium was chanting DJ Countess... we need to get stuff going like that all game. It made me think what soccer player would not want to come to RSL and play in front of are crowd?

You could sometimes hear the crowd, but since the mike was under the cowbell, that is mostly what could be heard.

When watching the replay on FSC Sunday, seemed like they had a mike on the Samba band too as you could really hear them on the broadcast. (Sitting in the Loyalist section at the game, I hadn't even realized the samba band was there.)

It kinda makes me think that we shoudl plan a SSS that can holder closer to 30K because hopefully the team will get more and more popular in coming years... (Okay, forget all the "novelty" stuff about it being a first year... Let's think optimistic!)

I thought the original thought WAS to have it hold that many. Is it now to hold less?

I believe 25K is the standard number, and I agree with that.

The HDC is 27K, PHP is 21K, Bridgeview around 20K, Crew Stadium 22K or so.

The idea is to have it big enough to create the right atmosphere (and host major competitions as well as concerts) but small enought to create ticket demand.

That worked perfectly in LA, where attendance has been great and more season tickets sold since the Galaxy moved to Carson. JLL can back me up on this--in the old Rose Bowl days, you never had to worry about getting a ticket. Walkup was always available. With the HDC, you better get you tickets early--or buy season tickets--if you want to see the game.

I think we could go as high as 30K, but I'd rather we build at 25K with the ability to expand in the future if necessary (another reason to go suburban).

The DJ chant sounded loud and clear on the radio broadcast.
