7/22 practice report

Any report on how practice went today, an any indication of what the starting line up will be like tomorrow night?

It looks like the starters will be:

Cila - Kreis

Trembley - Mathis - Cutler - Williams

Broome - Dunseth - Akwari - Brown

Countess

At least that is who I remember from the scrimmage. I'm not sure how I feel about Brown playing right back. I think I would rather see Knowles or Lookingland in central defense with Dunseth, but they have both had some problems.

If nothing else, it looks like we should have plenty of offensive firepower on the pitch.

*I no longer have my directions mixed up.

I am assuming that they are giving him the all-star break for the extra healing time and then play him against Chivas. At least that seems logical to me.

Are we basing the starting lineup with what we see in scrimmage, or is this from some other credible source on the coaching staff?

If it's the former, isn't it possible that Coach E may just be playing with the lineup to see how things work out, and the actual starting lineup tomorrow may turn out to be completely different?

Keep in mind, this is coming from someone that has only made it to 15 minutes worth of one practice so far. :P

During the last practice before the game, they usually run the starting unit together, but it is alway possible that a change is made.

hopefully akwari makes the most of this game and the Chivas game...with Pope back, Pierce back and Cabrera with a work permit, things are going to get awfully competetive on the back line. Wow, won't that be a nice change of pace. Speaking of which, I hope Cutler makes the most of the next few weeks as well. from the looks of Gregorio, Cutler's gonna have to step it up to compete.

Ryan Hatch said he would be "very very surprised to see Clint Mathis start" tomorrow. Not sure if he has any actual connections to anyone that would know that or not, but FWIW...
