Well, my opinion...
I've been on both sides of this. I've worked as an EMD(emergency medical dispatcher), and I've seen the 'civilian' side. From the civilian side, I can understand and see the anger and frustration of losing a loved one to something they may think is 'stupid' or out of line. I feel for the family.

On the other hand, I can see how the officers were only protecting themselves. While working as a dispatcher in Northern Nevada, an NHP officer was shot and killed doing a traffic stop that seemed just as innocent as this incident. The plain clothed officers only did what they thought needed to be done in order to protect themselves.

I feel for both sides. It's an unfortunate ordeal, and happens way to often.
