MLS might not have been interested in a city like Milwaukee before, but two factors make this a viable bid if the proposal checks out:

1. Stadium deal made up front. That may be the single most decisive factor.

2. The RSL Effect. The success of RSL at the gate has proven to MLSHQ that smaller markets are viable and may actually be a better place to grow the league.

Negatives? Milwaukee already has MLB, the NBA, and, of course, the Packers own the town although they play in Green Bay exclusively now.

I don't know Milwaukee at all, but this could be one of those expansion sites that looks better to MLS each time the check it out.

How about the idea of letting USL 1st division teams playing their way into the league.

I guess we would have to get rid of the single entity first.

That brings up so many issues, I don't even know where to begin.

For comedy, go check out BS's 1000 threads on this.

Single-entity challenges will just be the beginning of your woes.

I say good luck to them. It's been my opinion that MLS would be best served if we had one smaller market for every large market. Milwaukee would be great. I thought San Antonio would be great, and still think they would be if given a proper chance. Portland would be great too. However, there has to be an Investor for there to be a team.

If a team goes to Milwaukee, will Old Ska stick with RSL?

Or, if Tulsa gets a team will Mango Jam stick with RSL?

I have no idea on Ska, he seems to like his state, so maybe.
But I do know that Mango is a big Kreis fan and Deuce's friend, so I think thats where the RSL connection came from.

Sounds like it. And it looks like they got a good man for the CEO job.

Won't it be nice, when we're not the newbies? :signcheer

That would be cool... I have never been to Milwaukee...
Do Laverne & Shirley still live up there?
What about Joanie & Chachi?
