RSL vs. Goats Lite July 9 talk [R]

Considering the problems both teams have, this could be a good game to watch.
No clear favorite, but since RSL has been playing slightly better you have to give them the advantage, although not much.

This game is in LA.

Discuss!

I may be biased, but I would argue that there is a clear cut favorite... anyone who plays Goats Lite. Have you seen their record? I think if BYU's PDL team played Goats Lite they would be favorites. :oh:

Defensive issues vs. defensive issues... I tend to think we'll have to score two or three to win.

Shhhh. We're still trying to suppress those memories.

Is it not defensive issues v. Offensive issues. while Chivas has a weak defense we have exhibited a weak offense

I hope our guys have turned the corner and can keep scoring regularly...

From Chivas point of view:

"Hey we beat these guys once. If we have a shot at getting another 3 anytime this year, NOW IS THE TIME."

"They don't have Pope. They don't have Pierce. They don't have Dunseth. They don't have a defense."

That's what Chivas is thinking, and when you look at it that way, we have plenty of reason to take this game seriously and not just expect an automatic three points. This game will either be very good for us (first win on the road) or really, really bad. (The only team to ever lose to Chivas. TWICE... ie the laughing stock of MLS.)

Here's hoping to the BEST!! :wine: <---That's root beer.

You could make that argument as well, but I was thinking more along the lines of the fact that we'll be missing Pope, Dunseth, and Pierce, and the fact that we don't really do the whole clean-sheet thing.

Are we not the ONLY team to lose to Chivas... full stop?

We have to win this weekend. We still have Kamler, Akwari, and Knowles plus Broome should be available for this game. We could even play Behnke. I think this may be the game we break out for at least 3 goals.
