RSL's All-Stars

If this has been posted elsewhere, cyber-scorn me.
From ESPN Soccer Net

"Aren't you willing to take a bit of relevance off your lone vote in exchange for limiting the impact all those Real Salt Lake supporters have? You know the ones: They have pushed Clint Mathis dangerously into a starting spot in this year's match even though he's yet to record a goal, and they have somehow helped three of their backs sneak into the top 10 of the voting totals for defenders. I thought so."

Keep up the vote! We have 'til Friday. We need to send our message to MLS loud and clear!

Yeah... those RSL supporters that actually like their team... not supporters who quit coming just because our team struggles. The ones who actually support the team. Crazy I tell you...

Stuff the ballot box... enough said.

Has it occurred to any of these eastern media types that in less than a year the fans of RSL have eclipsed virtually all others around MLS in support and passion?

And for a team well below 0.500.

That's the story Connolly should be writing.

Just went and voted again...

I noticd that two former RSL players... one who is now enrolling in law school and another who is probably still looking for a job playing soccer are still on the ballot. A third who doesn't even get minutes is also there.
They are in order... Evan Whitfield... Marlon Rojas... Dipsey.

You would think that they would adjust things to account for these changes, but I guess not.

Stuff it, make em pay attention. RSL is permanent and so are its fans. I get the feeling a lot of people think that because we are an expansion team, we should somehow be quiet, or invisible, or humbly take our place at the back of the line and be grateful.
Screw that.

I'd drink to that if I could drink!!! If they think we're going to lie down and quietly take our place at the back just because we're an expansion team is a bunch of crap. And that goes for the team and it's fans!!!

Duh?

I always have a hard time reading an article or listening someone who writes or says something false in the opening statement. "last year it was Chivas, this year it's Fulham". Last year it was East vs West. His article could be all bull crap after that as far as I'm concerned.
