First Match against Colorado?

I talked to Liz today because I had to go over some things about my season tickets. While I had her on the phone I asked her if they knew who Real Salt Lake would play in the first match. Her answer was that they were trying to set it up so we play the Rapids the first game. They'd like to start things off by fostering a Rocky Mountain rivaly. Sounds like a plan.

Good call Neil. I really think this is going to be a beautiful rivalry. People say "the rivalry should grow itself" and I think this is in fact how it is growing, by people like us pinpointing the Crapids as the team we want to destroy.

Amen! The best rivarly is usually with your neighbor. it makes for good times and it also makes it easy for roadtrips to the "enemy" stadium a little more plausible. It's our rivalry, we'll choose it.

Too late to go back now. We've talked openly enough about the rivalry. It's expected. It's logical. It's practically a done deal.

Stupid Rapids. (mutter mutter mutter)

Now if we can just find some Rapids fans to get this Derby going...
Anyone ever heard of a Colorado Rapids fan?

When I attended a CoRap game it was a Wed. game. I sat between a semi-hard-core fan and a pair of novices on a date. A lot of people really needed the jumbotron instructions on when to cheer, make noise, etc.

Seeing as April 16 could potentially be Orange Ball weather in Rice Eccles, I'd like to see a warm-weather team.

Good point Jose, it'd be fun to see Chivas come up and try to run around in the snow...
