Chat Room and Linux I can't get the chat room to come up in Linux. I have tried both Mozilla and Konqueror and it tells me that the applet is loading, but that's where it hangs. I'm able to use it in Mozilla from Windows, just not from Linux. I don't really think there should be any difference. I do have the Java JRE installed in Linux too. No biggie, I can probably find an IRC client that works with Linux. I just thought you might like to know this.

Hmm, yeah, I don't know much about IRC. I have tried running the chat from both my work and home machine (both Linux). I can get the applet to come up, but it complains about my ident setup and bans me. On my work machine I did have to properly setup the symlinks for java in the mozilla plugins directory. You may want to double check that. If you have questions about that setup you can read this link... http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/faq#q2.2 | |||||
