We should make sure that the tailgate fits in with the picnic scheme the FO is planning as well. I'd rather not try and compete with the FO.

Good Grief! How dumb am I?

The Pioneer Day game is on July 23rd, not the 25th.

Man I'm getting old.

when i got my call from jamie watson i asked about ticket sales and the opertor told me they had about 12+ thousand so far, but are expecting a huge walk up for this and the 23rd. i think a lot of people are going out of town. My usual group of buddies (10 or so) are all gone and only 4 of us will be there.

I'd thought that too. So I asked, "What do you expect, 15k?" They replied, "Naw, we'll hit 20K" Then a short discussion about how busy the morning had been and plenty of ads were running.

I hope RSL start advertising this cos on the way to work this morning i heard the ad from the Larry Man and his other summer sport...
Advertising alot for their fireworks show after the stingers game...

I was in the car for 30 minutes and heard the ad 4 times.

I haven't heard anything from RSL on it.

It looks to be pretty stiff competition.

I've heard a few RSL radio ads while commuting this weekend. Through out the year we've had very large crowds while competing head to head with the Stingers. Baseball and soccer fans really are different groups anyway.

I agree.. It is just that the stingers fireworks are an established thing.... and not many people will know about the fireworks after the RSL match. Unless RSL gets the word out.

I would hate to think people might miss the RSL match just because they know the stingers have fireworks... and they are not sure whether RSL will.

just a thought...

This morning on Channel 2 news, it was either the weather or the traffic that was sponsored by RSL and I saw 2 commercials for the game and the fireworks in about a half an hours time. It was pretty cool actually.
