A Challenge

I'm going to issue a challege to all Loyalists. I will buy dinner at Iggy's for any Loyalist that calls Jim Rome: The Jungle and is able to talk about RSL and gets their call to be the "Huge Call of The Day". I think this is almost impossible, but they said putting a man on the moon was impossible, they said that breaking the sound barrier was impossible, you get the picture.

I don't listen to The Jungle every day, so you will need to record the call and somehow prove that your call was the "Huge Call of The Day" and be able to prove that it was you that called. The other caveat is that you can't talk about any subject other than RSL or MLS. If Rome plays a call that fits this criterea as the "Huge Call of The Day" this will surely be a sign of the apocalypse.

Why would anyone listen to Jim Rome. I didn't listen to it much, because he's such a pompous, self-loving ass, but then I heard him bash soccer. I've never gone back for even a moment.

He used to bash NASCAR all the time and then realized what a large fan base it has and did an about-face. Maybe if soccer fans barrage him with calls he will give in. But you're right about him bashing on soccer, we just need to keep calling him.

You mean call his show and call him a jerk? I'd just like to hear him have a serious discussion about soccer. He dismisses it like it's irrelevant and nobody cares about it. The thing is, if Rome were to discuss soccer as much as he discusses hockey, NASCAR, or golf, I might listen a little more often. I don't really give a rat's about hockey, NASCAR, or golf and could care less to listen about them. Rome seems to feel that his listeners have the same attitude when it comes to soccer. The fact of the matter is, he's just too lazy to do some research into soccer and start discussing it, he's afraid that soccer fans might actually expose him for the fraud that he really is. But my challenge still stands. If you can get him to rack your RSL call, I will buy you dinner for 2 at Iggy's. It doesn't even have to be the Huge call, just get racked.
