Sounds good to me. However, Saturday home baseball games this season have averaged about 31,000 fans for the Twins. Could MLS draw 15,000+ sports fans on a Saturday?
What's the weather like in April and October?

Well, I'll say this, the first and last snowfalls in SLC usually happen before and after the ones in the Twin Cities.

Yes, but they usually don't stick. What about temperature?

I wonder if the new Vikings owner thinks that by bringing the MLS to Minnesota it will help his NFL team get a new stadium. A stadium that could be used by his football team in the winter and his soccer team in the summer. As a Vikings fan, I'm for anything that gets us out of the Metrodome.

Minneapolis/St. Paul is a good sports town. I know the Vikings, Twins, and T-Wolves all get good fan support. I wonder what the soccer climate is like in the twin cities.

I hate the Vikings, and your little Twins too.

Thunder is consistently a contender in its league, and draws well.

Basically, any big city in the midwest would be a good MLS city. I personally would like to see Milwaukee and Minneapolis brought in as expansion teams in the same year. If KC has to make a move let them move west in that same year. San Antonio may not "really" be out, despite press reports, and a Pacific Northwest team is a possibility.

I'm all for Portland. Similar to SLC in market size and saturation. Excellent home games for USMNT. And would make for some exciting weather situations on the pitch.
