What's the problem?

I'm thinking the lack of anything from the wings.

Williams and Brown gave the ball away every chance they could v. SJ.

We have no combination play. Our wingers don't continue runs after they pass of the ball. Our midfielders sit and hold the ball rather than pass it to the player making a run the very few times that happens. We don't get the final pass we need to spring an attack. When we get the ball in postition, there is no support there.

We look like an expansion team.

At least we have a team.

I am thinking if I sit through another match, which i will because I love this team... better or worse, but watching the guys walk around... seeing 3 blue shirts to every one white shirt around the ball and OMG where was our defence?

I don't know what to say... I am dumbfounded by the apparent lack of intetrest from the players.

I see 26+ guys working there back sides off in practice nearly everyday... then on game day I see 11 guys on the pitch that seem like they could care less...
what happened to the passion for the game..?

Here's what I saw...

movement vs. non-movement.

when the cakes had to ball, you could see all the blue jersies on camera moving. They were all over the place and continually pressing and sending runners. as Ray would say it, "they were playing beautful ball." and they were. As much as I hated watching it, they played very, very well and were fun to watch.

RSL on the other hand, when we had the ball, you could see 4 to 5 white jersies just standing there watching. We watched on the defensive end, on the offensive end, in the middle. it was just horrible. The only movement came from williams (who was taken out at the half) and super sub, Watson.

what about the 4 white shirts around the ball that didn't do anything. those were really frustrating to watch.

We seem to have incredible communication problems between the back line and the midfield.

I am still incredibly frustrated by our seeming unwillingness or inablility to make either the right run or the right pass. We seem to only get shots off from distance.

Well there was that problem too....

I say to get players in there that actually care about being in there!
If the starters care then that is a strange way of showing it.

Look, Coach E has said that no ones starting job is safe... so put your money where your mouth is and start making some examples....

I suppose it really can't get any worse.

Washington (target forward)

Cila--------------------Williams

Tiger----------------Cutler----------------------Trembley

Kamler-------Pope-------Knowles-----------Akwari

Dunny for Knowles if his hamstring is healthy

Watson, Besagno, and O'Brian as subs. We tried the 4-5-1 without a target forward, maybe we should try it with one?

Actually forget O'Brian and Knowles. Move Kamler to center back and play Rojas on the left.

I agree with Deuce, it seems that the players are indifferent. Losing is contagious and right now RSL has the losing disease. This has got to end soon. I wouldn't mind if Elinger put in all his reserves and benched the regular starters for the next match. I don't think the reserves could botch it up any worse than the starters did today. Also, I think having guys out there competing for a starting position in the roster might cause them to play a little harder than usual (ala Jaime Watson).

I still love RSL, it's just hard to see them lose over and over. I will not give up on this team. They're going to get better. I'm sure they hate losing just as much as all of us do. BTW, when do we play Chivas again?
