I wrote a book. Well, me and some buddies.

Being on Amazon looking up free downloads for the Music thread reminded me that I had talked to a few people way back during the Expansion Draft about a book I was Co-Authoring/Technical Editing. they had asked that I post something when it was done, but I forgot, it came out March 1st, hehe. A lot of my friends have written books so I didn't think it was as big of a deal as my Mom did. 🙂

Anyway, it's a nerd book, and I know we have a few nerd types on here(shocking, I know). It's gotten decent reviews for something a few friends got together and did for fun, but the jury is still out overall.

It's computer security related and deals directly with strike-back technology. Which for the non-nerd types means, having the right to counter-attack hackers who attack your network the same way you might defend your home if someone broke into it. The ethics of which are highly debated, and upset quite a few people. I've given several speeches at computer security conferences where just as many people want to punch me afterwards, as want to shake my hand.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Here's the link to it on Amazon...

It's something my company does. I'll be sure to buy that one.

My hubby does some of the design work for security protocols at AmEx (NO, he will not tell you how to hack credit card systems.. sheesh.) So I"m sure he'd LOVE to talk to you sometime! If you know of any potential jobs in security that would hire someone on a consulting/part-time basis, let me know, because my husband is thinking about going part-time for a year to finish his degree.

I remember talking to you about it, way back when, before we had a team. That's great! Good luck on that venture.
