Lalas taking over as MetroStars GM
The MetroStars announced Monday that former San Jose Earthquakes President and General Manager Alexi Lalas will take over the Metros in the same capacity. Former Metros President and GM Nick Sakiewicz has been named President, AEG Soccer New York/New Jersey.

Maybe I've been asleep, but I don't remember him leaving the Quakes. 😕

Also, the story says that Sakiewicz's last act was to finish the Metros stadium story.
They say its going to be built now.
