I think #8 will be born today.

I'm at work and my wife just called me to tell me that she's having contractions. Her doctor told her that if she were to have contractions at this point he would not stop them. I am stuck here without a car. Her parents are getting her to take her to the hospital and, I guess, either our oldest or my mother-in-law will watch the other kids. My sister is coming out here to get me, but she's not too sure how to get here. I'm out in Draper about as far south in Draper as you can get without being in Utah County. (No, I'm not in Prison). I will be sure to put up pictures if the baby is born today. 🙂

Woohoo! Now stop reading this thread and go help your poor wife.

Now.

You heard me! She needs your help and I guarantee these boards will be around in a week but there is NOTHING in the world like the first few days ofa baby's life. Even if you've been through it approximately a gazillion times, it's still the first time THAT baby will be born! :D Congrats!

Okay, now I feel really stupid because my wife was just having Braxton-Hicks contractions. The hospital monitored her contractions and told her that they were not serious enough and she is not dialated, so they sent her home. She is due July 8, but the last two pregnancies were premature so I thought for sure this was it. Plus, her doctor had told her that if she had contractions again they would deliver. I guess he meant big contractions. So, now I'm back at work trying to make up hours. Thank you all for your congratulations and kind words. Sorry for jumping the gun. I promise to put up the pictures as soon as he (it will be a boy) is born.

The lucky thing will end up like me, in the hospital about three times per week on average, until the baby (had to restrain myself from typing "babies") is born.

I hope she's not in the hospital 3 times a week. This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks.
