Just So Sad...

I'm so sad, I'm glad I have this place to fall back on.

I don't know if anyone knows, but I have my own message board for Josh Groban on ezboard.com. Well, a few weeks ago a hacker got on to the site and messed up almost 8,000 boards. Some of them are completely gone. I was afraid that mine would be one of the ones that got deleted because until yesterday every time I went there it gave me an error message.

But now that I have it back it's bittersweet. Almost all of the threads and posts are missing and all of the money that we had saved up to pay for the board is gone as well. Plus all of the hours I spent on decorating each of the forums with different color themes is all messed up.

*sigh*

I hope nothing like this ever happens here.

Why do hackers do this? It's completely pointless and just ruins the fun for everyone else. I hope they get caught soon because there's a nice lawsuit waiting for them.

They totally screwed up the college gym board too.

Which wouldn't have been so bad, considering that the season's over, except for this girl did a poll on the top 25 NCAA gymnasts of all time and all the threads pertaining to it got eaten up.

Money's missing from that board's "pot" too. 🙁

I don't know what to do because my board expires in 15 days, I don't have money to just pay for it out of pocket right now. Well, I might, but I might have to give up my new RSL shirt 😉

Supposedly, they're working on getting the "pots" restored.

I'd e-mail them and see if they can give you an extension on your expiration or something.

Ok, I just read their update from yesterday. I guess I don't have to worry about that for now:

We have completed, and are in final testing of, code that will “freeze” all subscriptions. Assuming a successful final test, we will deploy the code today. We have also established a list of all Gold Communities that have expired since the attack, and are developing a process to restore subscription benefits to those boards.

This whole situation is completely ezboard's fault. I can't believe they had all their backups online.

btw, Hiba, I'm a big Groban fan. Not over the top, but it's one of my top three cds in my car. 🙂

Is it just me, or is his vibratto a lot faster on the newer album??? kinda annoying, I like the older album better. :p

Nothing wrong with being over the top 😉

His vibratto does seem to be a lot faster on the new album. I don't know if it's his new training or just his voice changing with age, it gets pretty bad in concert too (maybe nerves).

Yeah I noticed it when I was watching the concert DVD. Oh well. It's still good stuff!

Once when I had a Groban CD in, my sister looked at me and said, "What family did you come from???" THat was weird because we were raised on classical music, the Beatles, Cat Stevens, and a large mixture of music. So what's so strange about Josh Groban??

I've seen him in concert 4 times, it's amazing. And his music is a mix of music in itself if you think about it, I don't think he can be put into any particular genre.
