All-Star Voting

L.A.'s Donovan leads All-Star voting

http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20050606&content_id=32453&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp
Quote:
As of June 2, Donovan had nearly 34,000 votes and appeared on slightly more than 40 percent of all ballots cast. He is currently outpacing his closest rival, the New England Revolution's Clint Dempsey (28 percent), by 10,000 votes. Real Salt Lake's Eddie Pope (27.8 percent), the leading defender at the moment, is just a handful of votes behind Dempsey, while FC Dallas forward Eddie Johnson (24.5 percent) and D.C. United midfielder Freddy Adu (23.5 percent) round out the top five. Those five players are the only ones who appear on more than 20 percent of all ballots cast.

If voting were to end today, Donovan, Dempsey and Adu would make up three-fifths of the MLS starting midfield. The Galaxy's Cobi Jones and RSL's Clint Mathis would complete the unit. Both Jones and Mathis appear on about 15 percent of all ballots.
Quote:
In defense, Pope is all but assured of a starting spot in Columbus, with nearly 12,000 more votes than second-place Chris Albright (14 percent) of the Galaxy......
The goalkeeping position appears to be the most hotly contested at the moment, as the top three are within 2,000 votes of each other. Revolution backstop Matt Reis is the current leader with 13.7 percent of the vote, but Galaxy 'keeper Kevin Hartman (12.4 percent) is a close second and RSL 'keeper D.J. Countess (11.4 percent) is in third. There is a relatively large gap between Countess and fourth-place 'keeper Scott Garlick (8 percent) of FC Dallas

👍

I just noticed that it is set up so you can vote up to 10 times per day! I know I voted before, and I voted 10 times, but I thought that was all.

So if you only vote once, you're letting our players down. If you vote 10 times, but only one day, you are letting our players down. Get out the vote.

How many players per position make it to the All-star game?
