I've managed to hook my wife (who is now probably crazier than I am), my sister-in-law, my other sister-in-law and her husband, and my mother. All it takes is just one game and they are hooked for life. If I can get my wife to like it (she didn't like soccer at all before) then anyone can be gotten. Keep working on people and get them to just one game and let the atmosphere do all of the rest of the work for you. It works just like magic.

After my daughter told me she wants season tix next year, she told me that soccer on TV is still like watching golf to her. The stadium experience is so much better.

I got this in the RSL Newsletter today:

"RSL's "Drive for Five" has pulled Real within 200 season tickets of accomplishing its stated goal of 5,000. Fans can continue to help RSL reach it goal by purchasing flex-plan, mini plan or pro-rated season ticket packages. The deadline for reaching 5,000 is Friday, June 10, 2005."

Maybe it's old news? Also, I thought the original goal was for June 1st.

I tried to hook my brother but I took him to the game against Chicago. He said thanks for the game but he's not interested. On the bright side, I've got 3 of my kids interested.

No.
My wife was screaming at the TV when Real was playing the Crew, and when the clock hit 90:00 against the Fire, she stood up, and stormed out of the stadium. I said, "I guess we're going?" She yelled over her shoulder, "If they're not going to act like they want to play, I'm leaving." I think my wife is into soccer. I guess I'm lucky. 🙂
