Another article from our columnist down south, Jason Franchuk

We didn't see RSL's offensive skill until after Chivas' opportunity in the 30th minute? What about the early shots by Chris Brown and Andy Williams?

I also love the pessimism about the attendance. A crowd of 12,501, the smallest to see a game in Salt Lake despite a warm night. Does somebody know the league stats for the league's weeknight attendance?

They aren't good except for special occasions. Dallas, the first place team, got about 6000 last night.

The only other weeknight game this year was at Chicago and was a double-header so it is hard to use that in any meaningful comparison. I guess we'll know more in a few weeks just how good that is.

Chicago had about 800 for their game and about 55,000 for the Poland/Mexico friendly afterwards. So of course MLS has 55,000 for Chicago's wednesday night attendance. 😉

What a moron. It's like he's been waiting for this inevitable moment when an attendance number would drop, so that he could slip in a little "aha! I TOLD you it would never work!"

Hey, bordelais7, this is off the topic, but did you go to Springville High? If so, you would have been in my graduating class - '95.

Anybody see this gem at the very end of the Trib article?

That's a good description of RSL at the moment, considering it earned its first winning streak ever and can stretch it to three games when it plays Saturday at Columbus - the Eastern Conference equivalent of Chivas.

I laughed out loud reading that one. I guess if I was a better computer nerd I would say lol.
