Quarter Season Report Card

[Rover]

OK, so eight games out of thirty-two are in the books. How are we doing?

1. Record of 3 wins, 2 draws, and 3 losses for 11 points and third place in the west. I'd say we're ahead of schedule for an expansion team, but our standards are higher than that. It's a good start, but we've only just begun.

2. Attendance average of 18,186 over four home games. Again, at or above expectations. We're third in attendance right now, with a big crowd assured on June 4th. More importantly, everyone acknowledges that we don't just have quantity, but quality as well--soccer-smart fans and a great atmosphere.

3. Team play is still a work in progress but the defense looks very good and the midfield is making big improvements each game. Forwards getting better, but we still need to show we've got more than Jason Kreis up front. Williams and Trembly goals on Wednesday were great--from the run of play.

Anything to add?

1 thing to add: We need to flop a lot more! Just kidding. We don't flop nearly as much as the other clubs we have played (especially the last three oponants: Galaxy, FC Dallas and Cuadros, er Chivas). I like that about our club. Don't forget the biggest flop of the year

If we were in the east we would be in 2nd place. Currently we are 4th in the entire league! What have these other team been doing for that last 9 years?
