-The energy and crowd factors were what sent the game our way. Excilantro crowd and a totally different start to the game. We had two or three corner kicks in the first 10 minutes or so. That was pretty great. Even if we didn't score then I liked that we were actually near their net.
-Donovan said it was the most bitter loss this season. Probably because they were on a roll and we had a rookie keeper in the net. too bad, so sad for the galaxatives. Donovan comes home from Germany, thinks he's the king and gets schooled by a 1st year rookie from Indiana University. That was fun for me to watch. True, there were some fabuloso opportunities for some other Galaxy players but Donovan never did get it in the net, even with one on one chances. Edit -----> 'Bulldog' Rusty Pierce marked 'Diving' Donovan for the last 20 minutes. That always helps. -The last 10 minutes were awesomely scary. It seemed like they just kept the ball on our side of the field and kept the pressure up. I'm glad we held, unlike the San Jose game. -Question: Nolly's decisions near the end to send the ball to the other keeper instead of our team... good time wasting strategy or rookie mistake or what? I wasn't sure what to think of that. -Good job team. Keep playing like this (and getting as much luck) and we'll be a solid playoff prospect. Last edited by Scilaci : 05-16-2005 at 10:33 AM. | |||||

Quote:
I thought I saw one of the midfielders pointing to the center circle before a goal kick trying to get Nolly to put it there. Of course it went sailing to Hartman. It does waste time, but if we could get possession at midfield and push the ball toward the corners, that would waste even more time. __________________

On a side note, has anyone mentioned that RSL no longer has the league's lowest-scoring offense?
